

Henry Holman Breland – an 86 year-old native of Brooklyn, MS and resident of Wilmer passed away Friday, July 15, 2011. Mr. Breland was a World War II era veteran of the United States Air Force, and was stationed in the Philippine Islands as a member of the 77th Air Force Group. He retired after many years of service as a diesel mechanic. Mr. Breland was an avid outdoorsman who especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Martha Breland; brother, Curtis Breland; and sisters: Eula Mae Pierce, Ouida Maxwell, and Reveah Dickerson. Mr. Breland is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Marie Breland; children: Ann Wilbur (Richard), Nan Turner, Judy Bostwick (Robert), Mike Breland, Teresa von Eberstein (Bill), Eddie Breland (Karen), and Rodney Breland (Eva); brother, Kenneth Breland; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the service hour.
