Jacob Tyler Feagin

Jacob Tyler Feagin – born August 31, 1992, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010, at Children’s Hospital PICU in Birmingham surrounded by his loving family. After a ten month battle with MDS, he went into respiratory failure. Jacob will be remembered as a vibrant, happy young man who had high ambitions to enter the medical profession. While undergoing treatment, he completed his high school studies and graduated from Theodore High School in May 2010. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved to tell everyone about his visit from Crimson Tide player Cory Reamer, who brought him a jersey and a jacket from the national championship game for 2009. He had a passion for fishing in the bay and rivers with his daddy and hunting with PawPaw and Granny and friends in Camden. He is survived by Daddy Joe and Mama Shannon Feagin; PawPaw Willie and Granny Beth Feagin; PawPaw Jack and MamMaw Kay King; PawPaw Tim Johnson; MamMaw Stella Glatfelter; Uncle John Feagin; Aunt Cindy and Uncle Michael Elder; Cousins Jonathan and Sarah Elder; special friend, Rick Dillon; and a host of other relatives and friends. The family would like to extend special thanks to all the doctors and staff in the Lowder Transplant Unit of Children’s Hospital and to the doctors and staff of the PICU who gave Jacob such tender loving care and for the care and concern shown to the entire family. Funeral services will be held from Oak Park Minsitries on Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Terry O. Taylor, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Elder, Rick Dillon, Justin Barber, Cody Grimes, Demetrius Massey, and Donovan Ballard.
