

James Wesley “Jimmy” Estes – a 20 year-old native of Mobile and resident of Greensboro, NC passed away in Spanish Fort, AL on Sunday, May 13, 2012. He was a student at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, a lifeguard at the Y.M.C.A., and was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church in Mobile. A lover of the outdoors, Jimmy enjoyed hiking. He was an inspiration to many and loved by all who crossed his path. Jimmy was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Hollis Estes, and maternal grandmother, Anne Cain Ferrill. He is survived by his beloved fiancé, Jillian Maezell Grady; parents, James Dale and Cecilia Ferrill Estes; brother, Joseph “Joey” Estes; paternal grandmother, Helen Estes; maternal grandfather, Wesley G. Ferrill; aunt, Nancy Blackman (Richard); uncle, Wesley G. Ferrill, Jr. (Ann); his fiancé’s parents, Tony and Donna Grady; a host of cousins and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 16, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
