James David Howell

James David Howell, age 73, born December 14, 1943, native of Semmes, Alabama went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. He graduated from Semmes High School in1962 and retired from Scott Paper Company (Kimberly Clark) in 2001. David aka "Wimpy" to his co-workers, enjoyed fishing, camping and the Great Smoky Mountains.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patsy June Sullivan Howell and three children, Pamela Odom (David Odom), Tracy Howell (Steven Hattenstein) and Brian Howell (Connie Howell) along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Garner Ray Howell (Denice Howell) and sisters Judy Young and Louise MacDonald (Kenneth MacDonald). He is preceded in death by his father Vaudy James Howell, mother Mary Louise Dearmon Howell, brother John Ed Howell and sister Sheron Cowart. David was a loving husband and father. He was active in his church, Pathway Church, of which he was a member for many years. He is loved and remembered by numerous friends and extended family and will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be Thursday November 16, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Pathway Church 7200 Moffett Rd. Mobile, Al 36618. Funeral services will be Friday November 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Pathway Church. Mr. Howell will be laid to rest at Pine Crest West Cemetery.
