James Joy McDole, Jr., longtime resident of Mobile, AL passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Maureen Delores (Jensey) McDole, his parents, James Joy McDole, Sr. and Helen Rose Legault McDole, brother Jerry McDole and sister, Julie McDole Black.
Mr. McDole was a volunteer fireman for over 30 years with the Tillman's Corner Volunteer Fire Department. He was employed as an automobile mechanic for many years, most recently with McConnell Cadillac of Mobile. He enjoyed Mardi Gras and was a member of several mystic societies over the years. He and his wife were avid dancers, especially enjoying square dancing. He was a hard worker and loved his time spent with his wife and family.
Mr. McDole is survived by his children; Kimberly McDole Lucas (Victor), James Joy "Bud" McDole, III (Donna), Michael Phillip McDole and Karen Lynn McDole McGee (Tony). He is also survived by his step-mother, Jan McDole, Uncle Jack McDole, and sister-in-law, Dawn McDole, grandchildren; Chad, Melissa, Brittany, Jeffery, Trent, Sierra, Nathan, Ethan, siblings; Janice Jenkins, Jackie Griffith (Myron), Joy McDole Franze (Gordon), Kathy Holloway (Danny), Dianne Bulloch, Jennifer Roemen, Cheri Lloyd (Joel), seven great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 19, 2021 beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Serenity Memorial Gardens.
