Janice "Polly" Wooten Duke 63, of Mobile passed away October 24, 2016 at a local hospital. Born in Johnson City, TN to the late Carl and Lucile Reed Wooten. Polly grew up in Calera, AL. She graduated from the University of Montevallo with a degree in education. Polly taught school for Mobile County School System for 25 years. She was a long time teacher and coach at Davidson High School. She was preceded in death by Sister Pasty Brown, Nephew Kevin McDonald. as well as her parents. Polly is survived by her husband of 38 years William "Bill" Duke, daughter Kelley and her husband John Myhre. Sister Mary Margaret Fancher and one grandchild. There will be a celebration of her life on Friday, Oct. 28 at 10:00 am at Pelican Point (Bienville Blvd. past Fort Gaines) on Dauphin Island.
