Jerome Alexander Stuart, 71, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023 in Mobile, Alabama. He was born to James A. and Pauline Bohannon Stuart on January 22, 1952 in Mobile, and other than a few stints in Baldwin County, Jerome remained a Mobilian for most of his life. Jerome retired from Scott Paper Company after over 27 years of service.
Jerome was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sarah S. Burson; one brother, Ellis Stuart; one sister-in-law, Martha Stuart; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Deese.
He is survived by his children, Wendy Stuart Maples (Donnie), Brad Alexander Stuart (Kacie), and Matthew “Matt” Stuart; grandchildren, Maya Maples, Troy Stuart, Megan Maples, and Hailey Stuart; three brothers, Paul Stuart, Jimmy Stuart (Sheila), and John Stuart; one sister, Martha S. Deese; as well as nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation for Jerome will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a graveside service in Pine Crest Cemetery immediately following.
