John "Red" Albert Rockwell Sr.

John "Red" Albert Rockwell Sr. - a 77 year-old native of Quitman, Mississippi and resident of Saraland, Alabama passed away at his home on Friday, February 4, 2022. He was a tugboat pilot on the Mobile River for many years and loved spending time with his family and playing dominos.

Mr. Rockwell was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Clara Rockwell; wife of 41 years, Judy Rockwell; daughter, Judith LaDean "Deano" Brooke; and siblings, Elmer Rockwell, Jr., Janie Miller, James Rockwell, Robert Rockwell, Sr., and Willie Rockwell. He is survived by two children, Angie Brooke (Robert) and John Rockwell, Jr. (Christy); son-in-law, Albert Brooke; siblings, Alice Speese, Betty Rockwell, and Chuck Rockwell; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Rockwell and Sharon Rockwell; eight grandchildren, April, Anthony, Robbie, Sarai, Bobby, April, Ryker, and Jonalyn; seven great-grandchildren, Daymian, Alexis, Kayla, Brice, Kyle, Eli, and Kolby; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 6, from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens.
