

Mr. John Mosteller Seiselmyer, Johnny – a native of Mobile, AL died Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Johnny attended St. Ignatius Catholic School, St. Paul’s Episcopal School and the University of Wyoming. He was a member of the Catholic Youth Organization and Life Team member. Johnny excelled in sports. He was captain of St, Paul’s Junior Varsity football team and was the Alabama 4A State discus champion in 1999. He formed the first Disc Golf Club at St. Paul’s. He was an all star baseball player for the Mobile Municipal Park League. Johnny was a City of Mobile Swim Association, Country Club of Mobile and Spring Hill Swim Club champion. Johnny played ice hockey for the Mobile Baystars Ice Hockey League. At the University of Wyoming, Johnny studied geology. He was currently pursuing an insurance career as an adjuster for Pilot Catastrophe Services following in the footsteps of his father and sister. Johnny was a leader and dedicated to this career goal. He was optimistic and saw his future as being great. He had love and respect for family, friends, music, environmental causes and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Paul Seiselmyer, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Dr. John Horace Mosteller and Janet Young Mosteller; his paternal grandparents, Edward Paul Seiselmyer and Margaret Lambert Seiselmyer; and uncle, John Horace Mosteller, Jr. Survivors include his mother, Mary Lou Mosteller Seiselmyer; one sister, Ellen Mosteller Seiselmyer; one brother, Daniel Paul Seiselmyer, Jr.; aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives, a dear friend, Mildred Johnson Washam and Lucy, his beautiful golden retriever. The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at the Marian Center at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 A.M. on Tuesday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. The family will receive friends following the Memorial Mass at 251 Woodlands Avenue, Mobile, AL.
