John David Tanner Sr.

Mr. Tanner is preceded in death by his loving wife Phyllis Tanner, parents John Henry and Catherine Tanner, siblings Louise Wallace, Paul Tanner, Annie Mae Hoven, and Gary Downing Tanner and beloved son John D. Tanner, Jr.

Mr. Tanner was a proud veterans serving overseas in the United States Air Force. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering and retired after many years with the railroad. He loved spending time with his family and friends and fishing.

John is survived by his children, daughter Pamela Tanner, sons Joey Tanner, Paul Tanner and brother Donald Tanner. Thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive him.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home located at 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, Alabama, 36606 on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 a.m. with interment in Pine Crest West Cemetery immediately following.
