John Joseph Wynne

John is survived by his son, Chad (Lorin) Wynne; his daughter, Michelle (Brentin) Odom; his mother, Hilda Maria Gomez Wynne; his sister, Margaret (Ronnie) Spivey; and two granddaughters, Catherine Dunn and Emily Wynne.

John was preceded in death by his father, John Jacob Wynne.

John was a graduate of Shaw High School Class of '68 and attended the University of South Alabama, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He was a retired Mobile City Police Officer after 30 years of service and attaining the rank of Corporal. John proudly worked in Children's Drug Prevention by raising money to help start the McGruff program in Mobile. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of a Mobile Mystic Society. He was very involved and committed to the lives of his granddaughters. John was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed many hours on the boat with friends.

A visitation for John will be held Friday, January 5, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Mobile. A funeral service will occur Friday, January 5, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, Alabama 36605.
