Mr. Joseph “Joe” David Giles, Sr. age 87, a native of Maplesville, Alabama and a longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama died on Sunday, December 11, 2011. He was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, retired Civil Service and served in the US Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his son, Joseph D. (Judy) Giles, Jr.; three grandchildren, Wendy Mathis, Christopher (Tami) Giles, Patrick Giles; two great grandchildren, D.J. Douglas, Nathan Giles; three brothers, Hardy, Donald, Billy and one sister, Jennalou. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
