Mr. Joseph Alfred Smith, Jr., age 73, of Robertsdale, AL, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Martha Smith, and a daughter, Allison “Shelly” Smith. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Downey Smith; two children, Joe Smith (Laura) and Renee Sprinkle; four grandchildren, Victoria, Zachary, Allison (Justin), and Aaron; two siblings, Billy Smith (Elaine) and Margaret Mullins; two sisters-in-law, Theresa Hill and Charlotte Thompson; and uncle, Bill Neff (Betty); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family. Mr. Smith was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening and Elvis. He was one of a kind! Visitation will be Friday, May 13, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oddfellow Cemetery. The pallbearers will include: Bill Hill, Barry Thompson Brian Smith, B.J. Lannie, Brett Lannie, and Matt Lannie.
