Joyce Neal Stanford

Joyce was born on February 17,1932 in Elmore City, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late Howard Neal and Annie Graves Neal. She was named Mavie Joyce and was blessed with 2 younger sisters, Sue Kendrick of Texas and Sharon Bean of Oklahoma. She precedes them in death.

Joyce leaves behind two beloved sons, Steven (Valerie) Stanford and Bobby (Rosemary) Stanford. She was the best "Grandma Joyce" to her grandchildren: Anna Stanford, Torie (Daniel) Martin, Amanda Tefft, Ethan (Molly) Stanford, Lindsay (Kyle) Rose, and Ryan (Robyn) Stanford and six great grandchildren.

Joyce had a fifty-year career working as an administrative assistant. She worked for thirty- five years and retired from International Paper Company. After retirement she volunteered at Mobile Infirmary, and then at Life Church for ten years.

Joyce received Jesus as her Lord and Saviour on March 17, 1964, and was blessed to be taught, ministered to, and participate at Moffett Road Assembly of God, Living Word Church and Life Church where she was currently a member.

Joyce was a wonderful friend and blessing to all who knew her.

Visitation will be held at Life Church on Tuesday, August 27, from 2:00-3:00 p.m., service following. Interment will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery West.
