Julia Weaver Mills – born March 26, 1922 in Hamilton, AL, a resident of Sheffield, AL for over 65 years, and a current resident of Mobile died Monday, July 22, 2013. Mrs. Mills was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend who always put others first. She is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, Laverne Mills; son, Jimmy Mills (Cindy); grandson, Randy Mills (Alicia); sisters, Christene Green and Jane Cox (Clifford); sister-in-law, Cleo Weaver; other relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank her friend, Ruth Wright, Saad’s Healthcare & Hospice, especially her caregivers, Carina Woods and Trenia Hodges, as well as Gordon Oaks for all of their excellent care and support. Graveside services will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens on Thursday, July 25, 2013, at 10 a.m. with Chaplain Zach Thompson officiating.
