The beautiful building of the school, and the church of St. Joseph caught her eye at a young age and June loved her education and guidance under the Sisters of Mercy and her sorority Beta Sigma Phi. She was very active in her church parishes, Little Flower and St. Ignatius, their respective PTA group, the Ladies of Charity, Rosary Groups, Burse Club, and Altar Society. She also enjoyed many years of volunteer work for the Mobile Opera Guild, looking forward to every new season. An avid bridge player, June enjoyed several weekly gatherings of cards and friendship.
