She was born to the late Emil and Doris Raab, December 17, 1947 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Kathleen moved to Tuscaloosa in 1957 where her father worked as a professor of music for the University of Alabama and he sat first violin in the Cadek String Quartet. She married and moved to Mobile, where she raised her family.
Kathleen was an artistically talented lady. She spent many childhood summers at the Brevard Music Center where she learned to play just about any song by ear on the violin. Her backyard full of blooms was evidence of her green thumb. She also sewed and knitted beautifully.
Kathleen is survived by her brother, Donald Raab (Ellen), her son, Michael B. Lee Jr. (Nicole), and her daughter Heather Kraus (Bill). Kathleen was immensely proud of her grandchildren, Wilson, Lee, Davis, Tripp, Landon, Bradley, Alana, Julianna, and Tristan. Her best friends, the Yaya’s, meant the world to her. She leaves behind beautiful memories.
The plans for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
