

.Lynn Schintzius Dubuisson of Mobile, Alabama, passed at home on Friday, October 14, 2016. She was born Kathy Lynn Schintzius in Buffalo, New York to Chester and Barbara Schintzius on July 23, 1949; the 10th of 11 children. As a child Lynn was a toe dancer in ballet and enjoyed working with her school's theatre. Lynn attended high school at Sacred Heart Academy in Buffalo and did her undergraduate studies at Daemen College in Amherst, New York.
Lynn has spent her career as a Religion teacher throughout the gulf coast. Lynn has been a teacher at Our Lady Academy in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; at Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee in New Roads, Louisiana; and at St Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
In the 1980's Lynn returned to her second home; McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in Mobile, Alabama, where she would spend the rest of her career. She completed her masters degree in Theology from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama in 1996. She retired from the Mobile Catholic School System in the spring of 2016.
Lynn married Captain William (Bill) Dubuisson Jr. in 1975 in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Bill and Lynn have lived throughout the south but Mobile, AL, has been their home for nearly 30 years.
Together they had three children: Elizabeth (Liz), William (Billy), and Steven.
In the church, at home, and at work, Lynn lived a life of service to others. She was the moderator of the McGill-Toolen Key Club, a branch of the national service organization. For many years she helped organize and teach Vacation Bible School at her church, St. Dominic's. At home Lynn enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved growing flowers, traveling, collecting angels, and raising pets including cats, dogs, and many many fish.
Lynn was proceeded in death by her parents, Chester and Barbara Schintzius. She is survived by her husband Maj. William Dubuisson Jr., Army Retired; her children Liz and Andrew O'Dell, Billy and Becca Dubuisson, and Steven Dubuisson; her brothers Ward Schintzius, Hugh Schintzius, and John Alan Schintzius; her sisters Carol Henke, Gail Busillo, Janet Valtin, Joyce Stachowiak, Maura Cohen, Marcia Honsburger, and Anne Laurel Dear; and innumerable nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends.
Lynn will be remembered as a wife, a mother, a sister, an aunt, a teacher, a mentor, a caregiver, a friend, and a smile in the hallway.
