Lawrence D. "Larry" Pierce

Lawrence D Pierce (Larry) age 80, joyously passed from his earthly life to his eternal life on July 15th, 2015. Larry was at home in Warrenton, Virginia at the time of his passing and is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolyn. He is also survived by his sons Steven (wife Jane Ann) and David; grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Joshua, Sarah, and John; brother Michael; uncle Roy and aunts Ernestine and Dolly.

Larry's life as a committed Christian, dedicated husband, and devoted father provided a positive example to all who knew him. Serving 29 years as an Army Aviator, Larry's faith was strengthened during multiple tours in Vietnam and thousands of flight hours. After retiring as a LTC, Larry spent 17 years as a senior manager for the Armed Forces Communications Electronics Association where he continued to demonstrate his faith and values.

The family will host a visitation on Sunday July 19th at the Warrenton, Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM and will be followed by a funeral service beginning at approximately 4:15. Friends and family will share fellowship immediately following the Service.

Additional services will be held in Mobile Alabama at the Radney Funeral Home, 3155 Dauphin St. Mobile, AL Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. on Friday 24 July 2015. Following these services, Larry will be interred at Ft Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola Naval Air Station, Florida with Military Honors provided by Army Aviators from Ft. Rucker, AL.
