Leon Howell, Sr.

Leon was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help others in need. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed hunting, fishing but mostly he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Ava Breland Howell; five brothers, Narvel Howell, Alexander Howell, Fred Howell, Farris Howell and Phillip Howell; a son – in – law, Elliott Havard; surviving are his loving and devoted children, Sondria Havard, Leon (Jennifer) Howell, Jr., and Susie Luna; 7 grandchildren and 19 great grand-children also, survived by other relatives family and friends. We would like to give special thank you to Jennifer Stringer and Ciarra Walker for being so much more than health providers for our dad. He loved us all.

Visitation will be held at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service will be held in the church at 11:00 a.m. with interment following in Wilmer Cemetery, Wilmer, Alabama .
