
Leon Curtis Jackson, age 88, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away January 20, 2014. His life and legacy will be celebrated on January 23rd, 2014 at 11am at City Church of Mobile, 3750 Michael Blvd, Mobile Al, 36609. There will be a visitation at 10am preceding the service. Curtis was born March 27, 1925 in Evergreen, Alabama. Curtis lived most of his life in Mobile, Alabama where he, and his wife of 67 years, Margaret Dees Jackson worked and raised a family. He served in the Navy in WW2 as a ship fitter first class and was honorably discharged in 1946. He retired from Pensacola Naval Air Station. During his life he was an avid fisherman, and he also enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends and loved ones. The most important things in his life were God, church, and his family. Curtis is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; loving daughters, Carol Davis of Kenner, Louisiana and Kay Woodward and son-in-law, Galen of Albuquerque, NM and 3 grandsons and grand daughters-in-law Dustin (Mandy) Woodward, Jonathan (Jessica) Woodward, Brandon (Delaney) Woodward all of Albuquerque, NM; 3 great grand children and 2 on the way.
