Lesbia Causey Vereen

Lesbia Causey Vereen, born May 7, 1918 a native of Kent, Elmore County, Alabama and resident of Mobile for 56 years passed away at home on Thursday, March 31, 2011. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church Tillman's Corner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Edwin Vereen, and daughter, Lesbia Irene Vereen. Lesbia is survived by one daughter, Patricia (Richard) McNider of Putnam, Alabama; three sons, Ervin Edwin (Gail) Vereen Jr., James Lee (India) Vereen, and Richard Dale (Angela) Vereen, all of Mobile, Alabama; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great, great-grand-children. Visitation will be at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, April 1, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home chapel on Saturday, April 2, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
