
Leslie Clements Williams, age 100, a native of Memphis, TN, and resident of Mobile, AL, since 1946, passed away on July 10, 2014. He is survived by his devoted wife of 69 years, Anna Russell Jackson Williams, originally of Pulaski, TN, and his daughter, Linda Jeanne Williams Phillips of Malibu, CA. He was predeceased by his father, Leslie Bernard Williams, and mother, Viola Regina Akridge. He graduated from Humes High School in Memphis, TN, and the University of Memphis Law School where he passed the bar in 1939. He enlisted and served on ships in the Pacific Theater with the United States Navy during WWII. He was employed as a trust officer at the American National Bank in Mobile for many years. He also worked in real estate and sales. He was a long-time member of the University Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank the church members, neighbors, and friends who provided needed help and assistance to him in his latter years as well as his doctors, nurses, and caregivers, who cared for him so skillfully throughout his life and in his last days. Funeral services will be held at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July, 14. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m on Monday. Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens in Pulaski, TN, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16.
