Lillian L. Jackson

Lillian Lilyroot Jackson, 95, passed away on April 17, 2013 at The Carriage Club in Charlotte, NC. She was born August 31, 1917 in Mobile, AL, daughter to the late Erik and Ingrid Lilyroot. Lillian was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Thomas Jackson whom she married in 1936; her beloved daughter, Barbara Jackson; and her sisters Karin McMillan and Thelma Munch. She spent most of her life in Mobile, AL and enjoyed spending summers with her family on Mobile Bay. Lillian was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business, and she was a wonderful seamstress and animal lover. She enjoyed spending time on the bay crabbing and watching the pelicans at sunset. Lillian was a caring and generous wife, mother and grandmother. She was cherished and will be missed by those who knew her.

Lillian is survived by her children, Shirley Grimmett and Tom Jackson; her grandchildren Elizabeth DeGroot, Tommy Jackson, Amanda Lis and Russ Grimmett; and her five great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services and interment will be held on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00 AM in Pine Crest Cemetery. Visitations will be held on Sunday 3-4 PM and on Monday 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Radney Funeral Home.
