Lillian Veronica Durbin Smith

Lillian Durbin Smith – an 88 year-old native and longtime resident of Louisville, KY and recent resident of Mobile, AL passed away Monday, April 18, 2011. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois D. Ellis; father, James Durbin; brother, Christopher A. Durbin; and sisters, Julia “Marge” Durbin Peery and Thekla Mae Durbin. Mrs. Smith is survived by three children, Lois “Kathy” Smith, James W. Smith (Shirley) and George Herman Smith, Jr. (Maria); eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. A memorial mass will be celebrated from the chapel of the Little Sisters of the Poor on Monday, April 25, 2011, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1655 McGill Ave., Mobile, AL 36604.
