Linda Sumlin Hammac

Mrs. Linda Sumlin Hammac, age 69, of Mobile, Al, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 13, 2014 . She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Connie Bell Sumlin, and siblings Charles Junior Sumlin, Marvin “Shorty” Sumlin, Burl “Sarge” Sumlin, Guy Winston Sumlin and Pauline Sumlin Odom. Mrs. Hammac is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James “Skip” Hammac, and children, Leslie Hammac Proctor (David) and Chris Hammac (Kristina). She also leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers and sisters, Dorthy Sumlin, Carol Sumlin, Carlton Sumlin, Ray Sumlin, five grandchildren, Destiny, Emily and Isaiah Hammac, Anna Cate and Crosby Proctor, and many nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Mrs. Hammac will be remembered by her family as a loving and doting grandmother and mother. She felt herself blessed by having a wonderful son-in-law and daughter-in-law. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Dauphin Street on Thursday, April 17, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m on Thursday at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
