

Mrs. Linda H. Walton, age 81, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025. She was preceded in death by her late Husband ,Terry Richard Walton, grandson Kyler Mathew Scott, her mother, Nettie Wynnel Pilcher; father, Abijah Monroe Harrison; and older brother, Hugh B. Harrison, younger brother Tom Harrison and partner, Jim Odle. She is survived by her sister, Joann Fogleman; nieces and nephews. Linda’s legacy continues through her children, Faith, Daniel (Katie), and Ina (Keith); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Walton, Harrison Walton, Farrell Walton, Northrop Walton, and Winston Scott.
Linda cherished her independence and lived on her own until the age of 81. She raised her three children to embrace creativity and live freely, just as she had. A devoted animal lover, Linda once rescued a crippled colt and nurtured it into a thriving young horse. Her beloved cat, Daisy, was her constant companion—Linda read her daily devotions and rosary daily and shared music with her every day.
As a young woman, Linda worked as a key punch operator at the Georgia state capital under Governor Jimmy Carter. After years of a homemaker and supporter of her husband’s businesses, Linda went back to school late in life, and earned a History degree from University of South Alabama. She was member of the Legion of Mary at St Pius X until she lost mobilty. She delighted in writing poetry, cooking, sharing recipes, and staying curious about the world.
A heartfelt thank-you goes to the Odle family, the Campman family, the Keller family, St Pius X Church community, the Walton families, the Summers family, the McKenna family, and Palmer families, as well as all her personal friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. with interment immediately following in Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy., Mobile, AL.
