

Liston "Bo" Eli Cartledge, Sr., age 86, native of Winona, MS and resident of Mobile, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2012. Liston proudly served his country in the Air Force during World War II and also as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Liston received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a longtime member at Dauphin Way Baptist Church of Mobile and was also a deacon.
Liston was preceded in death by a son, Liston Eli Cartledge Jr.; parents, Vera Virginia and Reginald D. Cartledge; and six siblings Louise Leber, Reginald (Sara) Cartledge, Nan (Brady) Henry, Virginia (Dean) Calloway, Marion Hall, and Robert Cartledge. Liston is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice Ruth Cartledge; daughters, Kimberly Cartledge Munoz, Mary (Ben) Cartledge Caddell, and Hollie Virginia Cartledge; daughter in law, Julie Cartledge; sister in laws, Hollie O'Brien and Geraldine Cartledge; brothers in law, Paul Leber and Harold Hall; grandchildren, Nicholas Caddell, Virginia Caddell, Michael Munoz, Noah Munoz, Jessica Munoz, Liston Eli Cartledge III and Jamie Cartledge; and devoted family friend Debra Burns; and host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday April 17, 2012 from 12:00-2:00 pm at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm, officiated by Dr. Dan Taylor. Pall Bearers include Liston Eli Cartledge III, Nicholas Caddell, Noah Munoz, Ralph Taylor, Daniel Taylor, David Cartledge, and Sydney Cartledge.
