Brent was born November 13, 1947, to Wilburn and Jeattie Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Shelba Rogers Joiner, and two brothers, Bobby Dale Rogers, and Jimmy Roy Rogers.
Surviving family include his wife of 54 years, Mary Norris Rogers; two children: Kimberly Rogers Williamson and husband Nathan, Nancy Rogers Watson and husband Chad; four grandchildren: Garrett Ellis Williamson, Owen Lloyd Williamson, Avery Alayne Watson, and Morgan Elizabeth Watson; his brother, Myron Wayne Rogers and wife Cathy; his sister-in-law, Carolyn Maples Rogers, and special nieces and nephews.
Following graduation from Mary G. Montgomery High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Civil Engineering from the University of South Alabama. After graduation, he served in the Alabama National Guard. He worked with the Carpenters’ Union Local #89, Alcoa, and Jordan Pile Driving where he served as Senior Vice-President.
A long-time resident of Mobile, Brent was involved in many vocational, social, and hobby interests. He was a registered geologist. He enjoyed photography, collecting rocks, and exploring the mountains around Ouray, CO on annual vacations. Brent loved music and was part of a local bluegrass band. He continued to play guitar, bass, and sing throughout his life. Brent was an accomplished aviator holding an Airline Transport Pilot rating, Multi-Engine Instrument Instructor rating, seaplane rating, and was an A&P mechanic. Brent enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren and friends at the Alba Club and in Orange Beach, AL. He was a Board member of the Bates Field Aero Club, and a member of the Quiet Birdmen, Corvette Club, Propeller Club, Mobile Rock and Gem Society, and the oldest local mystical society. He had a strong commitment to God with church membership at Sage Avenue Baptist Church and later at Dauphin Way Baptist Church.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral service in the chapel at Radney’s Funeral Home on 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends in the parlor at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at Valhalla Memorial Gardens at 8730 Sims Road, Eight Mile, AL.
