Margaret Jean Highsmith

Margaret Jean Highsmith – a 77 year-old native of Mobile and resident of Semmes passed away Monday, November 28, 2011. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who spent 50 years of her life raising the children of her family. Mrs. Highsmith was an active member of Snow Road Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jessie W. Highsmith; children, Margaret Reid Highsmith, Jessie David Highsmith (Wendy), Tina Highsmith Rhodes (Jack), Greg Highsmith, Jennifer Highsmith, and Vander Highsmith (Daphne); sister, Frances McMann; grandchildren, Jason Highsmith, John Chestnut, Kelsey Highsmith, Payton Highsmith, Kasey Highsmith, Ysabella Highsmith; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 12 noon.
