
Martha Lowe Martin Passed away December 26, 2013. She was born in Watkinsville, Georgia, and was a resident of Mobile for fifty-three years. Martha was a first grade teacher at Orchard School for twenty years and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Beta Eta Chapter. She was also a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Mobile Historical Preservation Society, Mobile County Retired Teachers Association, and a tour guide at Oakleigh Museum for nine years. Survivors are her sons, James Bryan Martin (wife Suzanne), William Lowe Martin (wife Elizabeth), grandchildren Jim, Brad, Melody, and Polly, and great grandchildren Chandler and Tucker. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Spring Hill Baptist Church Foundation Fund or the Elsie Collier Scholarship Fund through the Mobile County Retired Teachers Association. Graveside services will be held Tuesday December 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Pinecrest Cemetery.
