Marva Dolores Jordan Hayes, age 83, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Marva was born October 7, 1935 in Mobile, Alabama to Ceabelle Reasor Jordan and Del Jordan. She was a member of the Archbishops Pontifical Choir, Musica Sacra Chamber Choir, and Mobile Opera Chorus. Marva also volunteered at Bellingrath Gardens.
Marva is survived by her children, Roxanne Hayes, Kenneth (Alma) Hayes, Vicki Hayes, and Robyn (Andre) Windham; 8 grandchildren, Navia Young, Jason Young, Kenneth Edmound Smith, Kendra Smith, Korey Hayes, Kourtney Hayes, Avion Ware, and Heather Raider; 13 great-grandchildren, Clarence Byrd, Breanna Byrd, Keyanna Byrd, Jayanna Young, Tianna Young, Kenneth Hayes, Emaan Hayes, Amaya Hayes, Kenton Hayes, Halo Reign Hayes, Navi Hayes, James Orso-Hayes, and Kinsley Yow; 2 great-great-grandchildren, Clarence Byrd and Vance Lee; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Marva was preceded in death by her father, D.L. Jordan; mother, Ceabelle Reasor Jordan; Sisters, Cloteal Kelly, Mattie Lou Jordan; and great-grandchild, Vance Byrd.
A visitation for Marva will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena, 2605 Springhill Ave, Mobile, Alabama 36607. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Catholic Cemetery, 1700 Dr. Martin L King Jr Ave, Mobile, Alabama 36617.
