Mary Evelyn Dowell, age 73, of Mobile, Alabama passed away on Friday April 13, 2018. Mary was born April 28, 1944 in New Orleans, LA. to William Burgin and Mary Evelyn Runyun Minter. She is survived by her husband LCDR David Dowell, USN Ret. and was a proud Navy wife for 37 years. Also survived by her cousin Ann Tiffin Cowden Greer and Mary's beloved dogs; Little Bit, Mavis and April.
A graduate of the University of Transylvania and the University of Kentucky with a Master's Degree, serving in the Healthcare and Insurance industry for many years.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 6:00 PM. at Radney Funeral Home-Mobile, 3155 Dauphin Street, Mobile, AL 36606. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 20, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Frankfort Cemetery, 215 E Main Street, Frankfort, KY.
