Mary Patricia Karl

Passed away in Tampa, FL on April 20, 2013, at the age of 72. Pat came into the world much to the delight of her parents, Cyril and Lillian Bufkin on May 14th, 1940. The beautiful, tow headed girl grew into a spirited teen. Born and raised in Mobile, there was nothing she loved more than summer fun with cousins in Lucedale MS; her antics were renowned. After graduating from Murphy High she married and began a family. Her three girls were the light of her life. Pat worked in the banking, insurance and medical fields. Loved by coworkers, she brought humor and a great work ethic wherever she went. Even as her health deteriorated these last years, Pat showed the same spunk as she left her lifelong home and bravely moved to Tampa. She was full of spirit and humor with caregivers and new friends. Her family is comforted in the belief she is now home with her Lord and Creator where she will suffer no more. She is survived by her daughters Lisa Blackman (Jim) of Mobile, Al, their children, Eric, Amy, Laura and Sam and spouses, Tracey Brazee (Tom) of Macon GA., her children, Jennifer, Jessica and Casey and spouses, Amy Williams (Lance) of Tampa, FL and their children, Palmer and Olivia. She is also survived by her devoted baby sister, Jayne Bufkin Pearce (Fred) of Palm Harbor, Fl. She was also the very proud great grandmother of seven. She was dearly loved and our memories of her are treasured. The funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
