She was born to Lawrence and Elizabeth Shaw, June 21, 1930, in Mobile, Alabama. Mary graduated from Murphy High School in Mobile.
She married Richard J. Volentine, Sr., and they lived together in Mobile for nearly 49 years. Mary is survived by two children: Richard J. Volentine, Jr. (and his wife, Lisa) of Smyrna, Georgia, and Beth Wilding (and her husband, Tony) of Opelika, Alabama. She is also survived by five grandchildren—Rachel Bryan (and her husband, Matt), and Scott and Melissa
Volentine, and Joseph and Richard Wilding. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband in 2001.
Mary was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
The burial will take place Friday, November 17th at 2 p.m. at the Pine Crest cemetery in Mobile. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to your local food bank.
