Michael Louis Smeraglia

Michael Louis Smeraglia, age 66, longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021 after a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank C. and Betty Jean Campbell Smeraglia, brother, Frank Smeraglia, Jr. great-niece, Sarah Kay McCarty and his longtime partner and love of his life, Cheryl Howell.

Michael was a self-employed contractor and worked in construction for many years. He will be remembered by those who knew him, as a man with a gracious heart and happy spirit. He loved a good party and enjoyed time spent with his friends and family. Michael loved his family and spending time with them.

He is survived by his brother, Anthony Smeraglia and wife Sherri and sister, Rhonda Hatcher and her husband, Michael. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Lauren , Jacob (Danielle), Lucas, Joseph, Natalie Smeraglia, Krystal (Todd) McCarty, Frank Smeraglia, III (Noel),William (Tiffany) Richardson and Joshua Hatcher, great-nieces and nephews; Tucker and Ellie Richardson, Eve and Arlo Smergalia, Huck, Abigail and Paisley Smeraglia, Ava Marie and Charlotte McCarty. He will also be greatly missed by his loving puppies.

Visitation will be held at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 12 Noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery immediately following.
