She is survived by her loving husband, David Thomas Cole and beloved children Lauren Elizabeth Laurence, Amelia Frances Cole, and son-in-law Jackson Brill Laurence, sister Linda Cashman (James) and niece Jennifer Lynn Cashman, and sisters-in-law Katie Jordan (Don) and Karen Hinton (Bill), nieces Millie Judy (Brandon), Caroline Hinton, Mary Kate Phillips (Luke) and nephews Will Jordan and Foster Hinton, as well as her much loved pups Remy and Hunter and many well loved friends.
Michelle grew up in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois and graduated from Urbana High School. She attended The University of Alabama where she made lifelong friends and met her husband David. She was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. Michelle and David moved to Mobile and started their family. She enjoyed hosting family and friends in her home while catering to those around her. Michelle loved animals, especially dogs, all her life. She always said she could never be without a dog. She was a loving and giving friend and was always there if you needed her. Michelle’s absence will be felt deeply by all those who knew her.
Michelle loved to help her husband David in his business and they had a true partnership. She was so proud of her two girls and was excited that her eldest daughter Lauren was moving back home. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, travelling, art festivals, learning new things, and spending time by the beach.
Special thanks to Reverends Jayd Burnette and Terry Richey of St. Paul's Episcopal Church for officiating and helping us celebrate Michelle’s life.
