Mrs. Merle Skipper Pruett a native of McKenzie, AL and longtime resident of Mobile, AL, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, JC Pruett. Mrs. Pruett was a long time member of Kingswood United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Missionary Circle and always enjoyed working in the church kitchen and serving meals. She always enjoyed working in her yard. She will be fondly remembered by her family as a loving mother, grandmother and sister . Mrs. Pruett is survived by her children, Ronnie Frank Pruett and Nanette Asarisi (Jospeh), sisters, Nellie Roper, Jeanette Thompson (Robert), her grandchildren, Jeremy Asarisi (Shelly), Colby Asarisi (Corey), Savannah Asarisi and Carson Pruett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephew and other family and friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Pine Crest Funeral Home, Mobile, AL.
