Nancy Kendall Gibney

Ms. Nancy Kendall Gibney, born in Vienna, Austria and a resident of Mobile, AL died in God’s loving care Monday, January 31, 2011. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kelley Leigh Barber (Wayne); sons, Jason Michael (Holly) Gibney, Ryan Patrick (Kasey) Gibney; grandchildren, Ada Grace Barber, Chase Michael Gibney, Anna Elizabeth Gibney, Juliet Hope Barber, Elle Mason Barber; and brothers; David Kendall (Nobuko); Robert C. Kendall (Judy); sisters, Barbara Davis (Mike); and Cynthia Kendall; and other friends and relatives close to her, including Mike Gibney, her husband for 38 years. Nancy loved the classics, whether it was music, books or movies. She loved animals. Her greatest love was for her children. She was a beautiful mother & her home was one filled with love, laughter and joy. She was also a second mother to her children’s closest friends. Her dedication and selflessness defined her not only as a mother, but as a person. She will be missed by all who were touched by her. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2011 at 10:00 AM from the chapel of Radney Funeral home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the American Lung Association.
