Nelda Jean Alexander Clarke, faithful child of God, passed away on April 24, 2016. She was born on February 18, 1924, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, to Thaddeus and Belle Alexander. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Fred Clarke, Jr., and her dear grandchild Cavelle Love. She is survived by daughters Jean Cater, Helen Turpin, Barbara Love; sons-in-law John Cater, Harry Turpin, David Love; grandchildren Rebecca, Sara, Christopher, Hannah; great-grandchildren Sam, Addie, Jacob, Claire; numerous nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong Presbyterian, longtime member of Central Presbyterian Church in Mobile, Alabama, and recently a member of Trinity Presbyterian in Birmingham. Visitation and graveside service will be held in Mobile at Pine Crest on Friday, April 29. Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. and graveside service at 11:00 A.M. The Rev. Chris Bullock will conduct the service.
