Norma Louise Turner

Norma was born August 30th, 1941 in Mobile, Alabama to Norma Pauline Claxton Edwards and Walton Harles Edwards. Norma was a native of Lucedale, MS and lived in Mobile County, AL throughout her adult years. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years in Mobile at USA-Matic transmission supply. Norma was a faithful Christian and a member of Shelton Beach Baptist Church in Saraland, AL. She was an avid hunter, angler, gardener, amazing cook, and a nurturer to her many animal friends throughout her years.

Norma is survived by her son, stepson and stepdaughter; Victor Mann, James D. (Buddy) Turner, Jr (Alisa Stallings Turner), and Krista Turner Viator (Paul Viator), eight grandchildren; Lauren Mann Overstreet (Curt Overstreet), Garrett Howell, Marcus Howell (Cheyanne Clark Howell), Victor Eian Mann, Claire Turner Drake (Daniel Lee Drake), Chloe Ashton Turner Kendall (Gabriel Ray Kendall), Caleb Mann, and Brenden Mann, a great granddaughter; Layla Overstreet, one sister Jelna Taylor (Larry Taylor), two brothers; Harles Edwards and Eddie Edwards (Marie Edwards), and many other friends and family who will miss her deeply.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents Norma Pauline Claxton Edwards and Walton Harles Edwards; her loving husband James David (Dave) Turner, Sr, and son; Scott Nolan (Scotty) Mann.

Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday September 11, 2025 at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile, AL. Pallbearers for the services are; Garrett Howell, Marcus Howell, Eian Mann, John Richardson, Greg Cunningham, and McLain Byrd. Honorary pallbearer is Junior Irby.

Pastor Gary Shockley will be conducting the final tribute.
