

Mr. Owen Lavelle Jackson, born on October 10, 1935 in Toxey, Alabama and a longtime resident of Loxley, Alabama, passed away Tuesday July 11, 2017 at his home. Mr. Jackson was a long time employee of International Paper Company and served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was also a member of the number 805 Pentalpha Lodge and a Master Mason. Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Inez Moseley and his brothers Mr. J.C. Jackson, Mr. L.C. Jackson and Mr. W.C. Jackson. He is survived by his two loving daughters, Terri (Patrick) Cahill and Jan (Richie) King; three sisters, Dorothy (Jabbo) Turner, Laverne (Ray) Lucas, and Lois (Stewart) Payne. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Charity Lee, Cliff Copeland, Clint Copeland, Ricky King and Trevor King. Mr. Jackson also had two great-grandchildren, Bryant Lee and Jennah Claire Lee. He leaves behind his precious little dog and companion, Molly who he loved dearly. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church of Loxley on Monday July 17, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. with Funeral Services following at 10:00 a.m. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Loxley.
