Pascal Jack Griffith

Mr. Griffith served his country during WWII as an Engineer in the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was employed by L & N Railroad and Gulf Shipbuilding as a machinist, Waterman Steamship Co. as Chief Engineer, retiring in 1979 from the Mobile Infirmary. He has also been a local landlord since 1950. Mr. Griffith was a member of Howard Lodge #69, F & AM for over 60 years. He was also a member of American Legion Post 88 and the South Alabama Landlord Association.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Wyolene Hudson Griffith; his brother, Phonzo Griffith; and his sister, Ethell Griffith Nelson. Survivors include his loving daughter, Victoria Griffith Stapleton; and son-in-law, Charles A. Stapleton.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel Radney Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 25, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
