

Jack Seibert, 72, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 with his family by his bedside. Jack served in the United States Air Force before joining the Mobile Police Department. He served as a Mobile Officer for over twenty-four years. He was honored for his service by the Exchange Club as Policeman of the Year in 1979 and also received letters of Commendation and Excellent Police Duty Medals. After his retirement from the Mobile Police Dept. he was elected and served as a Mobile County Constable until the time of his death. Jack was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a long-time member of the Alba Hunting and Fishing Club. He loved the outdoors and boating. Jack enjoyed being near the Bay, Gulf, and especially Dog River. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton J. Seibert, Sr. and Ruth Blunk Seibert; and brother, Henry E. Seibert. Jack is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan Adams Seibert; son Phillip J. Seibert, Jr.; one grandchild, Caroline Seibert; brother, Clayton J. Seibert, Jr.; aunt, Doris Hubiak; his best friend of many years, Joe Salata; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and dear friends. Visitation for Mr. Seibert will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service following immediately at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
