Ray Allen Drake Sr.

Ray A. Drake, Sr., age 77, of Largo, FL. passed away Saturday January 27th, 2018 in Robertsdale, AL. Born in Atlanta, GA. August 25th, 1940 he was raised and lived in East Point, Ga until the early 80's. He loved the outdoors and his adventurous spirit took him many places traveling around the world with friends and family. He had a special gift of repairing and restoring anything, he was a giving person and loved helping others.

He was preceded in death by his Father, James A. Drake, his Mother, Louise Porter Drake Hawkins, Granddaughter, Samantha Loren Drake, Nephew, Marshall Posey, Son-in-law, Steve Thomas, Daughter-in-law, Debra Underwood Drake.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Denise (Dave) Wofford of Daphne, AL, and Renee Thomas of Forest Park, GA., Son, Ray A. Drake, Jr. of Forest Park, GA. Three Grandsons, two great grandchildren. Sister, Virginia (Bill) Newland of Seattle, WA., Brother, Jack (Lilly Ann) Drake of Norcross, GA., two sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, along with several cousins, very dear & special friends in Atlanta, GA and Largo, FL.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2/17/18 in Largo, Florida. In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity, the American Cancer Society, or National Kidney Foundation.
