Ray Tuomisto

Ray L. Tuomisto, 84, passed away at his home – surrounded by his loving family – on Monday, December 7, 2020. Ray was a painting contractor in the Mobile area for over sixty years. Together, he and his wife of 62 years, Nancy Foster Tuomisto, raised their two children and adopted their six grandchildren. He was a loving, kind, and generous soul. Ray felt that he was extremely blessed in life. He loved animals, and he always wore his blue hat. Above all else, Ray was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.

Ray is preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Smith and son, Ray W. Tuomisto.

He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Foster Tuomisto; grandchildren, Kyle Smith (Amy), Jeremy Tuomisto, Ashley Tuomisto, Bridgette Tuomisto, Kelsey Vickery (Rockford), Stacie Tuomisto, Stephanie Tuomisto, Brittany Clark, Hayley Stewart, and Justin Stewart; great-grandchildren Abigail, Ford, Adalynne, Kennedy, Aidan, Logan, Alexandria, Kaylee, and Chase; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.

Visitation for Ray will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery West.
