Rickey Earl Collier, 70, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2022 in Mobile, Alabama. Rick was born to Earl Vaughn Collier, Jr., and Myrtle Caro Collier on September 25, 1951 in Mobile. He was a player for the South Brookley Team out of Mobile who participated and came in third in the Little League Baseball World Series that was played in Williamsport, Pennsylvania in 1964. Rick graduated from Del Campo High School. He went on to become the Director of Development for Ruby Tuesday and HMS Host. Rick was a NASCAR fan, particularly of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Bartley Collier; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Kathy Collier; three grandsons, Clayton Lee Honeycutt, Jr., Blake Christian Collier, and Justin Taylor Collier; three sisters, Pamela Blakeney (Jack), Sherry Steele, and Lisa Cushman (Bill); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other cherished family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Pine Crest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway in Mobile, with a chapel service immediately following. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
