Robert Edward Henderson Jr.

Mr. Henderson was born in Mobile, Alabama on February 13, 1948. He was a lifelong resident of Mobile. He was the only child of Robert Edward Henderson, Sr. and Bernice Hubbard Henderson. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Myrtle Bostick Henderson, his children Ginger Henderson Lewis of Ocean Springs, MS and Angela Henderson Prior (Marcus) of Dunkirk, MD. He is also survived by his three grandsons, Hayden Henderson Prior, Elijah James Lewis and Landen Michael Prior. Mr. Henderson is also survived by Johnny Johnson of Spanish Fort, AL, who he considered his brother, as well as numerous family members and friends.

Mr. Henderson attended Murphy High School in Mobile, Alabama. He honorably served his country for four years in the United States Army at Fort Hood, TX. He was a truck driver for many years before retiring. Mr. Henderson was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved to fish from his boat and spend time in the mountains with his family in Gatlinburg, TN. Mr. Henderson was also a great story teller. His many stories about his life will remain with his family for years to come.

Mr. Henderson’s service will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home on Dauphin Island Parkway on January 3, 2018. Visitation for family will be at 11 am. Visitation for friends of Mr. Henderson will be at 12 pm. Burial service will begin at 2 pm.
