Robert Hiller had a tough, burly exterior with a mushy, genuine heart. As a younger husband/dad/Pops, he NEVER missed an opportunity to serve & love his family. He was our rock, provider, safe place, comic relief, story teller, and lover of all things American & Righteous. He stood unwavering in his belief system with a strong sense of self and purpose. He was a man of character, loyalty, integrity, and grit. He was a man of unconditional love for those who he held dear to his heart. Robert survived a war, maritime catastrophes, multiple health challenges which would taken most down long before, and the teenage years of his daughter and three rascally grandchildren.
He passed peacefully by the water following a good lunch with his bride close by watching her feed the ducks. God is merciful and we are grateful Robert is now without pain or heartache in the Kingdom of our Father.
This man – husband, daddy, Pops – is our legend, one to aspire to, and never will we forget.
Until we see you again....
A graveside service for Robert will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery at Spanish Fort, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
