Robyn Marie Norris Mielcarek

Robyn Mielcarek - A native of Buffalo, NY and a resident of Baldwin County for the past four years, died Saturday, July 16, 2011. Robyn was a Registered Nurse for over 35 years. She worked in Buffalo, Florida, North Carolina, Arizona, and Texas before moving to Alabama, where she worked at Springhill Medical Center. Full of life, always smiling and loving her family describes Robyn perfectly. She loved the beach, going to concerts, shopping, cooking, and traveling. Her favorite place was Hilton Head Island, SC, where the family vacation would have begun today. A loving devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she will be greatly missed. Robyn was preceded in death by her father, William Norris; and her brother, Michael Norris. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth M. Mielcarek; two daughters, Jessica Mielcarek and Samantha Mielcarek, both of Atlanta; her mother, Maggie Norris of Buffalo; two brothers, William J. Norris of Atlanta and David Norris of Buffalo; other family members and many friends, including her colleagues at Springhill Medical Center. A memorial service will be held later in the week in Buffalo, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Robyn's memory to the Mobile SPCA, 620 Zeigler Circle, Mobile, AL 36608.
